Al Gord

Al Gord “The Bohemian Rebel of Art” is a self-taught artist who combines his love of music and art to create unique iconic paintings. If one were to think of the art created by the love child of Freida Kahlo and Pablo Picasso, one would never suggest that it is Al.

His work, derived from the songs, the people, the energy, and the stories, of the legends he paints – is the inspiration behind his art. Featured in both Niji Magazine and Glamor, he has exhibited his work in Canada, the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. His art hangs in private collections across North America and the United Kingdom.

Style

Al’s style is best described as Industrial Renegade Pop Mixology, a term and style he has created. Combining elements of portraiture, abstract, street art, and mixed media with expressionism and pop art, this up- and-coming rock star of the art world brings icons to life in a completely new light. Taking the rock and roll mantra to a whole new level, his renegade art can best be coined as sex, drugs, rock and paint. With his raw and emotionally charged works, his art leaves the viewer ultimately thinking OMG – Oh My Gord!
