Peter Kolejak was born and raised in Eastern Europe in the small country of Slovakia, where he currently resides. A finance professional by occupation, he was not particularly interested in nature and photography until his early thirties when he decided to take a break from his career and leave Europe to live in New Zealand and Canada for a few years.
Amazed by the diverse beauty of the country, New Zealand became a place where his photography journey started. Very early after his arrival Peter started to long to capture the beauty and emotion of moments in wilderness. He was lucky to experience and mediate them further. He likes to give his photography painterly feelings while avoiding heavy post processing. He is always looking to get into one frame the holy photography trinity – absorbing subject, interesting composition, and that special light.
Peter has sold his work in North America, Australia, and New Zealand as well as in Europe, and published for local media in Slovakia and the United Kingdom.

For the future Peter plans to explore more alpine and northern Europe regions to find captivating new sceneries. His goal, and never-ending struggle, as an artist is to mediate the experience with the viewer as he believes that is the essence of powerful art – to share and convey emotion.
