In creating this piece, I wanted to capture Jimi Hendrix with his legendary Fender Stratocaster. In paying tribute to this legend, I chose to veer away from the typical “concert performance pieces” I create which portray the musicians in iconic poses. Rather, for this painting I wanted to create the notion of a photograph, a Polaroid perhaps, which captures Hendrix and his guitar – a moment of true harmony.
